This was declared today by Warisan president Shafie Apdal, who however declined to give details on the arrangement.
Speaking to reporters after launching Warisan’s annual general meeting here today, Shafie said PH’s top leaders know of Warisan’s intention to cooperate with them.
“They know we are with them, in having the sole objective of toppling the Barisan Nasional (BN) government both at the federal and state levels,” Shafie said, pointing out however, that Warisan will contest in Sabah only.
“As for the seat negotiations, it’s a done deal between Warisan and Sabah PH.”
On March 28, Sabah DAP secretary Chan Foong Hin was reported as saying that Sabah PH and Warisan had only a few issues left to be ironed out pertaining to seat negotiations in Sabah.
“There are some seats which Sabah PKR and Warisan are still lobbying for.
“However, Sabah DAP has almost finalised the seat distribution with Warisan and we are confident our ally in PH will also come to an agreement soon on the issue,” Chan said at a press conference.

Meanwhile, the local opposition coalition of Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) and Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (PAN) have expressed willingness to cooperate with Warisan as well.
Despite an exchange of comments critical of each other, PCS president Wilfred Bumburing had said their coalition was still open to talks with Warisan.
But Shafie said the ball was in PCS’ court on the issue of seat negotiations and other forms of cooperation.
“They are not included in our ‘done deal’ with PH. But whether they’ll work together with us, that’s up to them.”
‘Political survival’
On another note, Shafie dismissed Umno information chief Annuar Musa’s claim that Warisan existed only to ensure Shafie’s political survival.
“Warisan’s slogans ‘Sabah for Sabahans’ and ‘Sabah Ubah’ were only for Shafie’s political career as he never used them when he was in Umno,” Annuar said yesterday.
Shafie said the people will look at what he had given up in his bid to challenge the Barisan Nasional (BN).
“I could’ve remained a federal minister and Umno vice-president if I had a self-serving purpose but I did not.
“The rakyat are all aware that they’re voting for the sake of the nation and state, not just some individuals,” he said.
