He said the plans would be activated if the Registrar of Societies (RoS) deregistered the party and rejected the registration of Pakatan Harapan (PH) as a coalition.
“We have plan B and C, depending on the outcome from the ROS… We have to use other means,” said the former prime minister, who is now PH chairman, at a programme here.
PH consists of PPBM, DAP, PKR and Amanah.
Yesterday, PPBM was issued a notice by RoS to furnish information and documents on minutes of meetings of branches, divisions and at central level, as well as its financial report, by March 29 or face deregistration.
RoS director-general Surayati Ibrahim said the information was needed to complete a probe into complaints lodged by PPBM members regarding the party’s affairs.
In February, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is home minister, said RoS had received 249 complaints from PPBM members and it was obligated to look into all of them.
PPBM’s failure to carry out meetings at the branch and division levels before holding its annual general meeting (AGM) was one of the complaints lodged by its members.
PPBM’s constitution states that those attending the party’s AGM must be representatives chosen at the division and branch level.
The complainants said since these divisions and branches did not hold their elections, the AGM should be declared null and void.
