Magistrate court registrar Nor Hapipah Abdullah granted the week-long extension for the two, aged 36 and 39, which begins tomorrow and ends on Feb 21.
The two were previously arrested on Feb 10 in relation to the death of Adelina Lisao, 26, and had been remanded for four days beginning Feb 11.
The duo’s 60-year-old mother was arrested on Monday, and is being remanded for seven days to assist in investigations into the case, classified as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Lisao, who was allegedly abused by her employers, died from her injuries at the Bukit Mertajam Hospital on Sunday.
The 26-year-old had been working at the semi-detached house in Taman Kota Permai here.
Lisao was spotted by a concerned neighbour with wounds on her hands and legs. She had also been spotted sleeping next to a Rottweiler for two months.
It was reported that on Saturday, Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim’s office had paid a visit to the home where Lisao was allegedly abused.
Sim’s aides had lodged a police report on the alleged abuse, after the employers refused to cooperate.
Lisao was subsequently taken to the police station by her employers, and later admitted to the Bukit Mertajam Hospital.
