Pakatan Harapan deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin said the decision was achieved in a cordial manner through consensus among the component parties of the coalition.
“PPBM will contest in 18 state constituencies, the DAP in 14 seats while Amanah and PKR will each contest in 12 seats,” he told reporters after chairing the Johor Pakatan Harapan meeting, here, today.
Muhyiddin said the details would be announced soon and the distribution of the seats that had been finalised would enable the party machinery to begin operations as it prepares for GE14.
Meanwhile, he said PH had drawn up several incentives for the people of the state and these would be announced after approval had been obtained from the pact’s leaders.
“A major portion of the incentives prepared by the committee will be presented to the people of Johor after we (PH) receive the mandate to form the state government,” he said.
Muhyiddin said PH was also planning to hold a major rally on April 6 in Johor Bahru. The Johor PH convention was also expected to be held in April.
He said the giant rally, involving the five major leaders of PH, would be the apex event after the leaders had visited the rest of the country.
“The giant rally will be held in the evening. A committee has been set up to organise the PH convention, but the actual date has yet to be decided,” he said.
