Kajang district police chief ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the woman, 41, was detained after she went to the Kajang district police headquarters (IPD) at 5.30pm yesterday to give her statement.
He said the girl, a school drop-out who has been working at the centre since April, was found to have burn marks on her arms, body and mouth.

Subsequently, the customer together with an NGO, lodged a police report and initial investigations found that the victim was believed to have been beaten with a hot ladle, punched and strangled.
The victim who is currently being treated at the Selayang Hospital, also claimed that she was raped by a customer in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, last May.
He said police will also be calling in the owner of the health centre, a 54-year-old woman, who was currently undergoing treatment for a heart condition at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, to help in the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for abuse.
In a separate case, Ahmad Dzaffir said a 10-month-old baby, who was believed to have been abused, has been confirmed to suffer kidney damage.
He said investigations found that the abuse allegedly occurred because the baby cried too often, resulting in the suspect punching and throwing it on to the floor.
Bernama had reported earlier that the baby’s mother and her boyfriend were detained in Ampang and Kajang last Saturday following investigations into the case.
