GEORGE TOWN: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has conveyed his sympathies and prayers for the flood victims of Kelantan and announced a RM100,000 contribution to the flood victims there.

He said RM50,000 will be given to the Kelantan government while another half will be channelled to non-governmental organisations there.

Lim said the aid will be given to the Kelantan government and the NGOs by state executive councillor Abdul Malik Abul Kassim soon.

“We deeply sympathise with the flood victims of Kelantan. We pray the weather will not worsen. We are going to pray for Kelantan to recover from the floods and its negative effects.

“We hope the Kelantanese can stay strong and be patient through these trying times,” Lim said yesterday.
