AirAsia, in a statement today, said affected guests would be notified of their flight status and the options made available to them via their registered e-mail addresses.
It said customers, whose flights were cancelled, are entitled to change to a new travel time on the same route within 30 calendar days from the original flight time without additional cost, subject to seat availability.
If they chose not to do so, guests can retain the value of their fare in a credit account for future travel with AirAsia.
“The online credit account should to be redeemed within 90 calendar days from the date of issuance,” it said.
The airline said guests are advised to check www.airasia.com and AirAsia’s social media pages for further announcements and also to check their flight status through “Manage My Booking” feature on AirAsia’s website.
AirAsia said the airline was coordinating with the authorities and would continually conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety of its operations.
“AirAsia will provide updates on the latest developments,” it said, advising guests requiring further information and assistance to contact the airline’s customer support team at https://support.airasia.com.
