According to a report in NST Online, the dead were identified as trader Kha Eng Ni, 42; his wife, Chua Joo Seok, 37; and their son, Kha Zee Hanz, 13.
Eng Ni’s body was found in the living room, Joo Seok’s body in the kitchen and their son at the store entrance.
Another child, Kha Xing Ruu, 15, was admitted in critical condition to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital.
The couple had stab wounds in the chest, while their son was hit by a sharp object on his head.
Deputy Kelantan police chief SAC Din Ahmad believed the incident took place at about 1.30pm.
“Initial investigations show that all victims were attacked one at a time.
“Police also believe that revenge is the motive behind the killings.
“There was no sign of a break-in and the couple still had their valuables on them,” he said.
An unidentified person informed police about 2.30pm after seeing a man’s body in a pool of blood.
Din said the assailant is believed to have escaped in Kha’s van and police were looking for the vehicle.
