Shah Alam district police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said M Batumalai, 51, was found unconscious by his friend, who is the co-driver, at the driver’s seat of the bus which was parked near the Shah Alam Stadium, at about 7pm.
Shafien said his friend then alerted police stationed outside of the stadium.
“A medical team from Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Klang, who examined Batumalai, then confirmed that he had died.
“The post-mortem which was completed late last night revealed that the cause of his death was a heart attack,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.
Shafien said the police had called Batumalai’s family in Penang, who later confirmed the driver had heart disease.
