
Low said of the number, 1,614 civil servants and 1,813 individuals had been detained and accused since 2013.
“344 civil servants and 494 individuals have been convicted,” he said in a written reply to Er Teck Hwa (DAP-Bakri).
He added that so far, 150 civil servants and 41 individuals had not been charged.
Er had asked the prime minister to state the number of civil servants and members of the public investigated by the MACC according to individual states from 2013 to Sept 30 this year.
The latest high profile arrest by the MACC was Parti Warisan Sabah president Shafie Apdal, who was detained as part of investigations into the alleged embezzlement of RM1.5 billion in rural development funds.
