PETALING JAYA:
A video of a man telling several patrons at a coffee shop in Flora Damansara to dress “appropriately” is making the rounds on social media.

In the one-and-a-half minute video, the man, wearing a black songkok and dressed in a long black jubah, claims to represent the community of Flora Damansara in Petaling Jaya.

“Firstly, we object to any drug abuse in this community.

“Secondly, we object to any alcohol consumption in public in Flora Damansara. Why? It is because this place is populated by a majority Muslim population. So it is very disrespectful.

“There are also highly suspicious activities such as prostitution.

“Also, I urge all of you not to wear any ‘bare’ (revealing) clothes,” he said.

The man, who is seen holding a piece of paper containing the prohibitions, gives the patrons a week to comply with the notice.

He also asks them to share the notice with their friends.

When contacted by FMT, the man seen speaking in the video refused to comment but said: “I may talk tomorrow”.
