PETALING JAYA: Police have taken a statement from the woman seen in a video, threatening a Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) officer with a steering lock and shouting at him.

Serdang police chief ACP Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias said a statement was also recorded from the woman’s husband, a disabled individual with a valid OKU card, on Saturday night.

“No arrest has been made and the investigation paper will be completed and referred to the deputy public prosecutor’s office on Monday,” The Star quoted Megat as saying.

In the video that has since gone viral, the woman was seen confronting the officer with a steering lock and shouting at him after her car was clamped at a car park in Puchong.

The officer was seen explaining calmly to the woman that she had parked in a wrong spot. Despite the explanation, the woman continued with her angry tirade while waving the steering lock at the officer.

The woman also retorted that she had nowhere else to park and that she was buying food for her disabled husband.

When asked for an OKU card, the woman, however, did not produce one.

The car was later towed to the MPSJ towing depot and the woman’s husband showed up the same day to pay the RM190 fine. He also apologised for his wife’s unruly behaviour.
The MPSJ officer however later lodged a police report over the incident.
