
The victim, a 29-year-old lance corporal, also suffered injuries to his head.
He was said to have been alone at the station at the time.At a press conference today, Selangor police chief Mazlan Mansor said the victim’s gun was also missing. Investigations are ongoing.
“Based on preliminary investigations, at around 3.25am, a patrol car arrived at the station and found it in darkness. The patrolling officer saw the victim lying on the floor.
“After switching on the lights, the officer saw that the victim was bleeding from the head and the gunshot wound on the victim’s body.”
Mazlan said there were no CCTV cameras in the station, but that police are checking the CCTV footage of nearby premises.
It is understood that the victim, from Sarawak, had been with the force for seven years and leaves behind a wife.
