KUALA LUMPUR:
The burnt body of a teenage girl, an Indian national was found in a burnt car on Jalan Changkat Hartamas 2, Hartamas Heights, here, early today.

The body was found at 4.22am in the car, a Hyundai, in front of the house of the girl’s aunt, said Sentul police chief ACP R Munusamy.

He said the last time the aunt saw the 18-year-old girl was at 12.30am when she was lying down in the bedroom after having taken her medication.

The girl had been studying on her own at the house since 2015, he said.

The body has been sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem.

Munusamy said police were waiting for the post-mortem report to determine if any criminal element was involved or if it was an accident.

“A police forensics team scoured the area but did not find anything that could be linked to the case,” he said in a statement.
