MACC officers went with the Sungai Puyu assemblyman to his service centre at around 12.15pm on Sunday and spent more than an hour carrying out a search, reported The Star.
Phee, who was wearing an orange MACC lock-up T-shirt, was escorted out of the service centre in handcuffs at around 1.25pm.
The state exco member was detained by MACC on Friday and a five-day remand order was obtained against him the following day.
Phee was arrested by MACC for abuse of power and bribery over a letter he wrote to delay enforcement on a carbon filter factory in Bukit Mertajam which was said to be illegal. He has denied any wrongdoing.
The anti-graft agency also detained and remanded the manager and director of the factory to facilitate investigations.
On Thursday, MACC led a multi-agency sting on the factory, which was found to have flouted many federal regulations.
The Department of Environment (DOE) found the factory did not have a proper air pollution control system.
The factory was also allegedly operating illegally on agricultural land in Sungai Lembu.
The MACC, immigration department, DOE and the Inland Revenue Board jointly conducted the operation.
Besides the factory, the MPSP licensing department was also raided by the MACC, with the anti-graft agency seizing a large pile of documents.
