This happened yesterday after the Johor palace announced the princess will marry Dutchman Dennis Muhammad Abdullah, who is Tampines Rovers Football Club’s former marketing manager, on Aug 14.
State police chief Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said police received a report regarding the alleged insult around 6pm yesterday.
The suspect was detained in the Ampangan area in Negeri Sembilan on the same day.
If charged and found guilty, the man could face a maximum fine of RM50,000, a one-year jail sentence or both under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
