KANGAR: The Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) has offered to sponsor 50 Muslim converts who wish to pursue degree and diploma studies at the Perlis Islamic University College (KUIPs) in Titi Tinggi, Padang Besar.

MAIPs, in a statement today, said the offer was open to converts from within and outside Perlis, including from abroad. It said the offer was open now until further notice.

“In the initial stage, MAIPs will offer 50 places (for converts) and they can choose the field of study that they are interested in.

“If the response is encouraging, the number (of places) will be increased,” the statement said.
