In a post on Facebook, the man, who identified himself as Neo, said he rushed his baby girl to a nearby private hospital on April 25 after she came down with high fever, reported The Star.
According to Chinese dailies, Neo said his daughter’s hands and feet turned cold and her lips turned purple after the girl was given medicine at the hospital.
He said the child was moved to the hospital’s intensive care unit after her fever shot up to 41°C and she started vomiting the next day.
Neo said when things took a turn for the worse, his daughter was transferred to a child care specialist unit at a public hospital and died 11 days later.
“The hospital’s slow response has led to my daughter’s death,” Neo claimed in a Facebook post, which has been shared more than 73,000 times.
A Chinese daily reported a spokesperson from the private hospital as saying it was saddened by the incident and had met the family to offer assistance.
