PETALING JAYA: Popular South Korean bakery Tous Les Jours has unexpectedly closed all its outlets in Malaysia.

According to a notice on its official Facebook page last night, it decided to shut down “for good”, effective May 25.

The decision took many by surprise as there had been no warning of its impending closure. Likewise, no explanation was given.

As of 8.30pm last night, its official Facebook page was no longer available.

Tous Les Jours, which started in South Korea in 1996, opened its first Malaysian outlet in 2013. It had four outlets in the Klang Valley: in Bangsar, Empire Subang, Empire Damansara and WOLO Bukit Bintang.

It took its name from the French word for “everyday”.
