
He is believed to have received RM86,000 from several legal firms to ensure they would be appointed by banks to prepare loan agreements for the purchase of properties under Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd.
He is believed to have asked 55% of the legal fees levied on the buyers.
He is said to have also met the buyers who had their bank loans approved.
The suspect was arrested at his home in Taman Kinrara, Puchong, MACC director of investigations Simi Abd Ghani confirmed today.
MACC sources said the man, aged 40, quit his job last week after getting wind of imminent exposure.
He is expected to be brought to court to be remanded tomorrow.
