The vigil, held at the Mei Ann Methodist Church here, saw more than 600 people gathered to pray for the 62-year-old Koh.
Koh’s wife, Susanna Liew Sow Yoke, 61, told the gathering that her family was going through a harrowing time without news or clues from the police on his whereabouts or well-being.
“I am still puzzled why my husband, a simple religious man, was abducted in a peaceful country like Malaysia.
“I hope the police would do their job and bring the abductors to justice,” Liew was quoted as saying by the Sarawak-based daily.
She added that her family remained strong despite the ordeal, and was grateful for the support received from Christians and even people of different faiths.
Others present were Koh’s daughter Esther, Methodist Church Miri district superintendent (Miri and Limbang Divisions) Rev Simon Ting, as well as pastors from the various Methodist churches in Miri.
Koh was abducted by a group of masked men in Jalan SS4B/10, less than 100 metres from the Police Housing Complex in Kelana Jaya on Feb 13. He was driving a silver Honda Accord bearing the licence plate ST 5515 D.
He was on his way to a friend’s house in Kelana Jaya when he was abducted in what CCTV footage has shown to be a well-executed plan involving more than 10 men and seven vehicles in broad daylight.
His family has offered a reward of RM100,000 for information of his whereabouts.
