In a statement, she said the Sungai Besar Umno division chief’s “false accusations” against her and her colleagues was a “dirty tactic” to defame them before the upcoming general election.
“I have nothing to fear on Jamal’s accusation, for my office has indeed adhered to the procedures in accordance to the stipulated regulations,” she said.
“So, Jamal Yunos, I shall see you in court!!”
This morning, MACC officers came to Kok’s office, asking for the original documents for Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE), which falls under the Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas) fund.
The raid followed a series of police reports lodged by Jamal against Kok and her colleagues.
The first was filed on March 14, in which Jamal alleged that politicians from the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor had taken funds meant for welfare from Yawas instead of disbursing the money to eligible recipients.
He identified Kok, DAP’s Sekinchan assemblyman Ng Suee Lim and a PKR rep whom he did not name as the alleged culprits.
Soon after, Jamal lodged another police report against Damansara Utama assemblywoman Yeo Bee Yin, alleging she was involved in misusing the funds.
Speaking today, Kok hit out at Jamal over his accusations, which she called a joke.
“According to the news report, Jamal accused me of withdrawing RM2 million from the SMUE bank account. What a nonsensical joke!! Does he think Selangor government officers are so stupid to allow me to do that?” she said.
She added that her lawyer had issued a letter of demand to Jamal two weeks ago. However, they have yet to receive a reply from him.
