KOTA BHARU:
A police report was lodged by a family member of former Kelantan menteri besar and PAS spiritual leader, the late Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, today against Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).

PAS Youth chief Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz said the report was lodged by his brother, Nik Adli, at the Kota Bharu district police headquarters in Pengkalan Chepa near here at 10.30 am.

He said it was over a seminar organised by Amanah which used their late father’s name and which he regarded  as an insult to Nik Aziz, who had always been consistent in PAS’ struggle when he was alive.

“Amanah wants to organise a seminar using Tok Guru’s (the late Nik Abdul Aziz) name and the party claims that my late father would support Amanah, if he was alive.

“I regard this as an insult to my late father,” he told a media conference at his family home in Pulau Melaka here today.

Nik Abduh said the family would not hesitate to take legal action against Amanah if the party leaders continued to use Nik Aziz’s name for their political interests.

Amanah, through its website at http://amanahdaily.com  last March 20 posted that the party was organising a seminar “Pemikiran Tuan Guru Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat”  this April 9 at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.
