SEREMBAN: A detainee who escaped from the court lock-up here on March 10 has been arrested by the Seremban district Criminal Investigation Department headquarters yesterday.
Seremban district police chie ACP Thiew Hock Poh said the 29-year-old suspect, P Devaraajan, was arrested during a raid on a house in Taman Bukit Kelisa here at 9.15pm.
“The suspect had earlier been detained under Section 394 of the Penal Code for robbery.
“The suspect is being remanded for four days and the case was opened under Section 223/224 of the Penal Code for negligence in allowing someone to escape from custody,” he said in a statement here today.
On March 10, police escorts realised that the suspect had disappeared at 2.40pm.
