“If you have proof, views or ideas related to this allegation be it in the form of blog writings, media articles, short videos or infographics, please send them to me. A prize of RM50,000 awaits you,” he said in a statement today.
“The material must be based on ‘creative facts’ (fakta kreatif) and research which does not contravene the law.”
Annuar had previously offered RM10,000 for the same contest, seeking an essay in answer to the question: “Adakah benar Lim Kit Siang seorang rasis, anti Islam dan 51 tahun diktator?” (Is it true that Lim Kit Siang is racist, anti-Islam and a 51-year-old dictator?).
Entries are to be sent to his office at the Putra World Trade Centre by May 30.
His decision to hold a competition came soon after Lim labelled him the “father of all racists” and dared the Kelantanese politician to sue him.
Last weekend, Annuar reportedly hit back at Lim, calling him “racist, anti-Islam and a dictator” after officiating the Bagan Serai assemblies for Umno’s Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings.
Previous reports said Annuar had directed similar labels at Lim during the Dewan Rakyat sitting, based on the Gelang Patah MP’s past actions.
Following his announcement of the contest, Annuar came under fire from several quarters, including nine DAP members who lodged a police report against him this morning.
They said Annuar was holding a competition that incited hatred among Malaysians and which threatened Lim’s safety.
