He was 52 years old. His wife, Nora Ariffin, who is also a singer, said Johan died at about 6.30am, Bernama reported.
According to The Star, his son Mohd Syakir Alif said Johan had died of a heart attack.
The body will be taken to the Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kampung Tunku, Jalan SS1/33, Petaling Jaya, after Friday prayers.
Throughout his career, Johan was active in composing songs, including those for his wife such as “Desa Tercinta”, “Naluri” and “Samudera”.
