PETALING JAYA:
Malaysia’s infamous bomohs are back in action again. This time, they want to save Malaysia from a possible nuke attack from North Korea.

Star Online reported today that the “Raja Bomoh Sedunia” had volunteered their services to assist the country in its time of need.

The bomohs make appearances whenever the country is in a sticky situation.

They had made full use of the huge presence of foreign reporters to display their skills at the KL International Airport when MAS flight MH370 disappeared from radar screens in March 2014.

Their antics with bamboo binoculars and green coconuts made them well-known.

They followed up that ceremony with another held at a beach in Malacca, promising that the wreckage of the missing plane would float up but only small bits of debris washed ashore.

They made another appearance when the country was caught in a bad haze situation in 2015.

Now, the three-minute video of Ibrahim Mat Zin, who calls himself Raja Bomoh Sedunia Nujum VIP with the title of Datuk Mahaguru, conducting a ritual on a beach has gone viral.

Ibrahim and his three assistants enter ankle-deep water armed with two coconuts, a pair of sticks used as binoculars, five bamboo cannons, a carpet and a bowl of seawater, the news report said.

Ibrahim, wearing a suit, throws the coconuts into the water as the ritual ends.

The video has a warning not to conduct the ritual at home.

Ibrahim hoped the ritual would soften the heart of North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un to release the nine Malaysians  at the Malaysian embassy in Pyongyang and to improve relations between both countries.

Relations between Malaysia and North Korea soured after the assassination of Kim Jong Nam, half-brother of Jong Un, at klia2 on Feb 13 and Malaysia expelled North Korean ambassador Kang Chol for his remarks.
