Kajang police chief ACP Othman Nanyan said the victim, aged 39, was found lying on the third floor of the house at 3am.
He said initial police investigation revealed that the victim arrived at the house around midnight to discuss some matters with 11 other men, including its owner.
“One of the victim’s friends said he heard something exploding from the top floor and found the victim lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot on the forehead and a revolver in his right hand.
“The outcome of investigations by the Selangor police forensic team and the Serdang Hospital’s pathology forensic specialist revealed that there was doubt over the victim’s death, who was said to have committed suicide,” he said when contacted here today.
Subsequently, Othman said police detained the 11 men to facilitate investigations, as well as to undergo gunshot residue (GSR) tests.
Police also picked up two women, comprising the house owner’s wife and maid, at the house for further investigations. All the individuals are aged between 30 and 59, he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
