Wanted robbery suspect shot dead in Puchong

The online trader was shot dead in a car park as he was walking to his apartment in Taman Kinrara at 1am today.

KUALA LUMPUR:
An online saree trader, wanted by police over a robbery case, was shot dead at the car park of Pangsapuri Suria, Taman Kinrara, Puchong, early today.

Serdang police chief ACP Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias said in the 1am incident, the 33-year-old man was walking towards his home at Block D of the apartment after he had parked his vehicle.

“A forensic team from the Selangor police contingent found five bullet casings at the scene.

“The gunman is believed to have used a semi-automatic pistol,” he told Bernama when contacted here today.

Megat Aminuddin said the victim from Buntong, Ipoh, Perak, was on the police wanted list in an investigation for gang robbery under Section 395 of the Penal Code.

The victim’s body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem.

Star Online said the man was believed to have been shot by two masked men. It said he sold sarees online through Facebook with his wife.
