BENTONG:
The resignation today of three DAP state assemblymen and an MP in Malacca as DAP members shows the split in the party’s leadership.

MCA president Liow Tiong Lai said this showed the political confusion among the party’s leaders which was not only happening in Malacca but also elsewhere.

The three state assemblymen who resigned from DAP were Lim Jak Wong (Bachang), Chin Choon Seong (Kesidang) and Goh Leong San (Duyong). The MP who resigned was Sim Tong Him (Kota Melaka).

Sim, representing the three others, told a press conference today that they had lost confidence and were disappointed in the DAP leadership, which he claimed had deviated from the party’s original struggle.

Liow, who is also transport minister, said the resignation of the four DAP elected representatives revealed the real attitude of the DAP leadership which made decisions based on self-interest and did not consider other people.
