
The 46-year-old victim, who is attached to a law firm, was killed on the spot after being shot in the back and leg in front of her 16th-floor office at Menara Centara on Jalan Chow Kit here.
City Criminal Investigation Department chief ACP Rusdi Mohd Isa said the man, a 51-year-old bill collector, fired a few shots, two of which hit the ex-wife, before turning the pistol on himself.
Police seized a badminton racquet casing and a parang at the scene.
“They argued before the shooting. We are still trying to find out what the argument was about. The witnesses said they were arguing in Tamil, ” said Rusdi.
Police were informed about the incident at 3.15pm.
He said the victim and suspect had been divorced for five years.
They had three children aged between 16 and 24.
Their bodies have been taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital mortuary for a post mortem.
