Drugs worth over RM1 million seized in Kuching raid

Police also arrest three men at the mini-drug processing lab.

KUCHING:
Police seized drugs worth RM1.12 million when they raided a house, used as a mini drug processing laboratory, in Lorong Stampin Tengah, here on Tuesday.

Sarawak police commissioner Mazlan Mansor said three men, aged between 26 and 46, were nabbed in the 11 pm raid.

He told reporters that the drugs, which were meant for the local market, comprised crystal syabu weighing 856.09g and liquid syabu (3,165g) worth RM1,126,132.

Police also found drug-processing paraphernalia in the house.

Mazlan said the suspects, all of whom tested positive for methamphetamine, would be remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations.

Two of the suspects also had prior drug-related records.

Last year, Sarawak police seized ganja weighing 10,191.97g, liquid syabu (9,337.26g), Ecstasy pills (651.22g), Eramin 5 pills (26.44g) and 13,637 Nospan pills.
