
The victim, Muhammad Jeffri Abu Bakar, was pronounced dead at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital at 9am. He died from stab wounds in his chest.
In the 4am incident, the victim got into a fight after he bumped into someone on the dance floor, The Star Online reported today.
Witnesses claimed that at least 20 people attacked Jeffri. His friend was also left with injuries to the head and chest, the portal wrote.
Meanwhile, theSun daily online said the victim had “accidentally knocked into a man” at the next table and that led to a fight.
It said the victim was stabbed with a knife in the right side of the chest.
theSun reported that the victim’s friend took him to the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital for treatment, but he refused treatment.
A source told theSun the victim also had seven police records and had been arrested 19 times for various offences.
Meanwhile, City Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa said four men between 21 and 22 years old were detained in Kajang today for the incident.
He declined to comment on the victim’s criminal records.
