
In JOHOR, the number of evacuees placed in 40 relief centres in three districts, namely Segamat, Muar and Tangkak, decreased to 2,423 people compared with 3,174 at 4pm.
State Health and Environment Committee chairman Ayub Rahmat said four centres in Segamat and another in Tangkak closed, after 751 victims from 186 families were allowed to return home.
In SARAWAK, the number of victims in the district of Beluru, Miri, dropped to 1,828 as of 8pm, compared with 2,411 victims at 5pm.
In PERAK, a total of 467 victims were still at six relief centres as of 9pm, down from 487 in the afternoon.
The district with the most number of victims was Hilir Perak with 228 people, followed by Manjung (218) and Larut Matang (41).
In KELANTAN, the number of victims dropped to 154 compared with 184 in the afternoon, with all the victims placed in five evacuation centres.
In SELANGOR, the number of victims declined to 228 compared with 259 in the afternoon, placed at three relief centres in Sabak Bernam.
Meanwhile, in PAHANG, the number of victims placed in 110 relief centres increased to 7,187, compared with 6,519 in the afternoon.
Pahang Malaysian Civil Defence Forces director Zainal Yusoff said Temerloh recorded the highest number of flood victims with a sharp increase to 3,117 people from 776 families, compared with 2,056 from 513 families this afternoon.
