In a statement, Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman told the former president of the Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) to look in the mirror before commenting on the JDT Football Club owned by Tunku Ismail.
“Resolve Kafa’s woes first. Do not just leave the club and expect the state or federal government to bail out Kafa using taxpayers’ money because of your failure to administer Kafa,” said Syed Saddiq.
Syed Saddiq said Annuar should be aware of the massive changes, in terms of infrastructure and football management, Tunku Ismail had brought to the sport in Johor.
He also said Tunku Ismail and JDT had united Johor and changed the landscape of football in the country.
Earlier today, Tunku Ismail reportedly warned Annuar, who is Umno Information chief, against becoming a liability to his own party in its stronghold of Johor.
In a post on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page, Tunku Ismail told Annuar to mind his own business after the latter said Johor’s policy of signing players and paying their wages was destroying Malaysian football.
Tunku Ismail and Annuar were recently embroiled in a row over the current state of football in the country and the management of their respective clubs.
