BUKIT MERTAJAM: Surau Mohd Al-Fateh in Taman Pauh Jaya has lodged a police report against a preacher known as “Wan Ji” for allegedly insulting the royal institution.
Its propagation and information bureau chief, Jamsari Samad, wants the police to take stern action against “Wan Ji” for inciting the people to hate the royal institution.
“Of late, many parties have been criticising the royal institution via social networking sites, including Facebook.
“This includes a video clip of a preacher who urged the people to remove the royal institution by 2030,” he told reporters here today.
Earlier, Jamsari and several surau committee members made a police report against the preacher at Seberang Perai Tengah district police headquarters.
