She claimed the police reports were made to defend the PAS-led state government and companies that were logging in Kelantan.
“I really don’t understand what PAS Youth wants.
“I think they (PAS Youth) are desperate because they do not know how to restore the people’s confidence in them,” she told FMT.
Siti was responding to Kelantan PAS Youth’s series of police reports accusing her of being the “main instigator” behind the anti-logging standoff mounted by the Orang Asli in Gua Musang.
The outspoken lawyer explained she was merely advising clients (Orang Asli) who had sought her help.
“I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry about the reports lodged by PAS Youth.
“I am a lawyer and if I have advised my clients because they have asked me to, does that count as instigation?
“If that’s the case, does it mean that every piece of advice given by lawyers is considered to be instigation?”
State information chief Nazman Che Ibrahim led PAS Youth to lodge two police reports this morning and 13 PAS Youth state divisions are set to lodge more reports tomorrow.
Nazman called Siti’s series of Facebook posts in relation to the Orang Asli blockades “slander, lies, mockery, incitement and threats” against the state government.
Meanwhile, Siti claimed that a group of Orang Asli, including village heads, were siding the Kelantan government because they had been paid off with “dedak” (euphemism for bribes).
She said PAS Youth should realise they were destroying the forests and the people by defending the actions of the party.
“PAS Youth must realise it is their party which had approved the licences to loggers.
“It is their own party which is destroying the forests and their own people. Why are they blaming others?”
