In an interview with FMT, the Gerakan Anak Muda Selamatkan Sabah (GAMSS) founder said he had a good relationship with whistleblowers.
“So thank you for arresting me, because it has strengthened GAMSS’ reputation and proved that we are telling the truth.”
Jufazli was arrested earlier this month for his criticisms of Musa.
He was investigated under Section 500 of the Penal Code for defamation, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, and Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948.
He has yet to be charged in court.
Jufazli, who has some 40,000 followers on Facebook, has been critical of the Sabah government and has published “exposes” of alleged corruption.
In June this year, it was reported that the Swiss federal court had instructed Swiss bank UBS to release its records on its business ties with Musa to the Swiss Attorney-General’s Office.
In November 2014, Swiss prosecutors confiscated confidential bank records allegedly involving US$90 million.
The Swiss prosecutors opened criminal proceedings against UBS in 2012, following a complaint by Swiss-based NGO, the Bruno Manser Fund (BMF).
Jufazli said a book published by BMF had specifically touched on the allegations of corruption.
He was referring to the 2014 book titled “Money Logging: On the Trail of Asian Timber Mafia” by Lukas Straumann.
