He was detained by Prasarana Malaysia’s auxiliary police at 11.15am while he was in a RapidKL bus heading from Subang Mewah to Pasar Seni.
The woman who commuted had reported being harassed by a man on the LRT on Nov 8 and this incident has since gone viral on the social media, said Prasarana spokesman Lim Jin Aun.
The victim had posted a photograph of the suspect on her Facebook account earlier this week. She claimed to have been inappropriately touched by him, and she advised others to be wary of the man.
Prasarana said the man was caught by the Special Task Unit who took the suspect to the unit’s office before he was handed over to Dang Wangi police.
“The victim has been informed of his arrest,” the statement said.
Lim also advised any passengers who had been a victim of a crime to immediately report the incident to the auxiliary police stationed at every station.
