Fish from overturned lorry causes traffic snarl on NSE

PLUS officials say traffic on both sides of the expressway was reduced to a crawl as motorists slowed down to take in the sight.

GEORGE TOWN: A lorry carrying at least one tonne of fish flipped over at the North-South Expressway near Sungai Dua, Butterworth this morning, causing massive traffic congestion on the north-bound stretch.

The Class A lorry was travelling from Juru to the Sungai Dua toll plaza when the driver was believed to have lost control, before the lorry turned turtle.

The lorry is believed to be owned by a fish supplier in Bayan Baru.

PLUS officials said traffic on both sides were reduced to a crawl as motorists slowed down to take in the sight.
