PETALING JAYA: The Veterinary Department has identified and questioned a man believed to have killed a dog that allegedly preyed on his chickens in Sabah.
The man’s cruel act was captured on video.
The department said the man was remanded and later released on bail, Star Online reported.
It is now gathering more information for further action.
The report said animal rights groups called for justice after the viral video emerged.
It showed a man dragging a dog tied with a rope to a drain and letting it dangle, choking it to death.
The incident is believed to have happened several months ago in Lahad Datu.
