In a Facebook post this evening, Siti said she was stopped at such a roadblock today.
“They stopped everyone but the Orang Asli,“ Siti wrote in her 8pm Facebook update.
She said this meant no one could deliver food aid to the villages inside and the Orang Asli were also deprived of their right to legal counsel.
Siti said she would be lodging police reports for denying access to her clients and stopping supplies to the Orang Asli.
The Orang Asli are upset over logging going on in the forests. A blockade they set up to prevent loggers was torn down.
