In a statement, Rizal said this included Penang’s tunnel project and the Taman Manggis land issue.
The Penang undersea tunnel and road project was said to cost up to RM20 billion and the Penang Government was said to have fixed the value of prime land in the state at 2013 prices for a project that may well be delayed by up to 12 years.
Although the Taman Manggis project was replacement land meant for affordable housing, it was later earmarked for mixed development for a hotel and hospital.
Rizal said Yeo, who is the Damansara Utama representative, must hold a press conference within three days following her visit to the Permata office in Putrajaya.
Permata is a government-funded early childhood education programme with Rosmah as its patron.
“We request that your officer contact our undersecretary to finalise the arrangements,” he said, adding that Permata’s accounts were audited annually.
Rizal’s invite to Yeo comes in the wake of her criticisms that Permata did not have a clear strategic direction despite heavy funding from the government.
Last year, Putrajaya allocated RM30.1 million for the programme.
Rizal then trained his guns on Yeo, stating that DAP did not have the sole right to demand transparency, which is why he was requesting for details on projects in Penang.
“It is also my right to ask Yeo to explain the details of projects in Penang since billions of ringgit in state funds are involved.”
