KUALA LUMPUR:
It’s slow going on some major highways this morning as Klang Valley folk head out for the Aidiladha and school holidays.

The North-South Highway stretches of Kuala Kangsar-Bukit Berapit, Terowong Menora-Sungai Perak, Bandar Casia-Juru and Slim River-Sungkai are among those affected on the North-South Highway.

Traffic was congested at Km308 northbound between Tapah and Gopeng after a car and a lorry collided.

“A bumper-to-bumper accident also occurred at Km444 Sungai Buloh-Rawang involving two vehicles. There is no obstruction,” a Plus spokesman said.

The Malaysian Highway Authority said eastbound traffic was slow on the stretch before the Gombak toll plaza while other routes towards the east coast was reported to be under control.

Traffic updates are available through the Plusline toll free number at 1800-88-0000 and @plustrafik on Twitter or LLM at 1800-88-7752 and @llminfotrafik.
