
In a Facebook post, Kamalanathan said he was “angry and disappointed” that there were irresponsible parties circulating a question which did not exist in the first place.
“Such lies and slander have sinister motives and are reprehensible by nature.”
He went on to urge the police to investigate the matter and bring the culprit to justice, especially since police reports have been lodged.
The Hulu Selangor lawmaker also advised the public against spreading such unverified information.
Meanwhile the Examination Syndicate also confirmed that the controversial question – which asked students to link certain traits to a particular race – was fake.
According to The Star, the Examination Syndicate said every exam paper is evaluated to ensure it fulfils the syllabus and meets the objective of the subject.
“The Examination Syndicate places a heavy emphasis on racial harmony and unity, especially in the context of its examination questions,” the daily quoted it as saying.
