Taking to Instagram, Najib posted a picture of the note handed to him after the Cameron Highlands Umno division meeting today.
“Mr Davianan himself passed me the note, which I asked my officer to translate. This note really touched my heart.
“He thanked me for helping him with a land lease for agriculture and development, which allowed him to make a living.
“At the time I was serving as Pahang Menteri Besar,” wrote the Pekan MP on his official Instagram account.
Najib said he never expected anything in return for what he did in the course of his duty, as it was his responsibility to do so.
“However this thank-you note really means a lot to me, and it has made my day.
“Thank God, I am thankful for the chance to serve (all of you), and I will continue doing so.”
Najib has come under fire recently, with calls that he step down. Just this afternoon, a group of student activists organised the #TangkapMO1 rally to pressure the authorities into arresting the mysterious ‘Malaysian Official One’ who was mentioned in the US Department of Justice’s lawsuit on alleged embezzlement of 1Malaysia Development Berhad funds.
