TELUK INTAN: The waterspout cloud formation which occurred here yesterday morning sent a chill down the spines of residents in the Pekan Langkap area near here who saw the phenomenon.
Photographs of the unusual cloud formation which occurred between 7.30am until 8.30am also went viral on social media.
It is understood that the shape of the clouds was seen by residents in Langkap and Chui Chak for about 15 minutes before it started to rain.
According to the Chui Chak village headman Yeap Lai Hock, the phenomenon attracted the locals to go out of their homes and business premises to see for themselves the cloud formation.
Speaking to Bernama here, Yap said the sky then turned dark and heavy rain fell for about an hour after that.
