Man claiming to be ‘Jesus’ held

He will be handed over to the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) after threatening to kill some of the country’s leaders.

KUALA LUMPUR: A man who claimed to be Nabi Isa (Jesus Christ) was arrested by police in Jalan Tun Razak here yesterday after threatening to kill some of the country’s leaders.

This was confirmed by Wangsa Maju Police Chief Supt Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif to Bernama today.

He said the suspect, in his 40s, was handed over to the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) for further investigation.

“After Jawi has investigated him, police will be investigating the suspect under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation,” he said.
