The incident occurred about 1.30pm.
State CID chief ACP Wan Abd Aziz Wan Hamzah said the police had received a report on the matter yesterday.
He said footage of the school’s closed-circuit television camera showed the victim had ended lessons in the morning session and was waiting for an afternoon session class when she was approached by an unidentified man who asked her to go to the store.
“The victim followed the man, but stopped short of entering the store. The man then carried her into the room when the girl screamed, causing him to release her.
“He then jumped over the school wall and escaped,” he said in a media statement here today.
