Six-year-old boy driven away in car found

Johor police chief Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd says members of the public found the boy abandoned at a children's playground in Teluk Danga.

JOHOR BAHRU: The six-year-old boy who was driven away in a car by two unknown men in Taman Melodies last Saturday was found yesterday.

Johor police chief Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said members of the public found the boy at a children’s playground in Teluk Danga.

He said the boy was believed to have been abandoned there and was found by passers-by.

“The boy was not injured and he has been handed over to the police for further action,” Wan Ahmad Najmuddin said in a statement today.

In an incident last Saturday, police received a report on a BMW 740i car, with a six-year-old boy inside, being driven away by two unknown persons in Jalan Beringin in Taman Melodies here.

Wan Ahmad Najmuddin said the car was found abandoned in Jalan Impian Emas 5/1, Taman Impian Emas, near Skudai, yesterday.
